Quote of the Week

I am obsessed with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books right now. They make me laugh and cry Oh how I love them! They have quotes at the beginning of each chapter that makes me smile here is my favorite one this week:

Before you critize somone. You should walk a mile in their shoes. That way. When you criticize them. You are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes. -Frieda Norris

Hawaii

Now that my tan is fading and the late night cookie dough eating and shaved ice with snow caps from the trip has gone to my butt and gut, I decided it was time to post the pictures of our great Kauai trip. Here are some highlights and seriously can we say slideshow for me next time. I think I tried to post 100 pictures in this post, I just could just not choose my favorites!

Here is our clan minus Jacki. Lets just say that Jacki gave us a crazy 2 days. We were scared of her by the end of the 2nd day. She did get us surf lessons though kudos for that. However, at some point she decided to take us on a death hike from @!%*. I seriously would have paid to have someone fly me off of the mountain. When we got to the end of the trail I cried, tears of joy. That was the first and last hike that we contributed on the trip. The Thaynes are die hards, seriously. So while they were hiking in jungles (26 miles to be approximate the whole trip) and seeing sunsets at approxiamltey 4am in the morn, this is what we did. Kamille- I told you I would give you our side of the trip. I hope you enjoy. Love Ya!

We really did surf on the board!

Our new tats...

Pauls feirce sting by a jelly fish! Ouch!

Uh.. Steph is going to kill me for this one. In case you are wondering how to get your hair like this, you have to ride on a raft out in the ocean to the Napeli Coast. The salt water of buckets pouring over your head and the wind contribute to the pretty nest.

Why did the Rooster cross the road? Roosters just roam all around the island, I think they are the state bird?

This is on our way back from the death hike, someone took this for us, he was telling us the whole time 'Okay, get back a little further, a little more...' do you think we are far away enough?

View from the death hike.

And the bravery award goes to everyone but me and Kamille for jumping and falling (thanks to Ethan) into cliff jumps like these ones.

We are fully convinced that they eat 'rooster' in Hawaii instead of chicken.

A view from our Condo...

We played in the sand, laughed tell we cried and watched the waves come in... it can't get any better than that. Thanks for the great times and memories friends. I am lucky to have you guys! Maloha! Love you guys! xoxo
